Sev (Rakesh Sethi ‘Tea Time’ Recipes)

½ kg besan
2 teaspoons salt
lump of butter
½ cup water
4 tablespoons hot oil
asafoetida water
oil for frying

Sieve besan and combine salt, butter and asafoetida water well with it.
Prepare soft dough, using hot oil and knead well.
Shape parts of the dough into big balls, press them in a sev mould, one by one, in rounds direct in oil, kept at smoking point in frying pan.
Sauté sev for a few minutes till it becomes crispy, turning over 2 to 3 times.
Continue the same procedure for the remaining dough.
When cool keep in container.

Hi i like your show but recently i observed something about 1 particular episode ..And please do not take this as a criticism.
You had covered Out of the blue a hang out place in Mumbai anyway the chef had made a mock tail there and said that it has zero calories ,when the fact is that no juice has zero calories ,empty calories is the right word i guess..
I mean one cant use words like healthy and no calories just like that .It should be used only when it really weighing the dish or drink as per its nutritive value..
